NammaChat

Safety guide

Use NammaChat responsibly and protect your information

NammaChat is for adults aged 18 and above. The app is built for respectful text-based regional conversations, not harassment, impersonation, fraud, sexual exploitation, or sharing sensitive personal information.

Adults only

Users must be 18 or older. Minors are not allowed to create accounts, join group rooms, use private chat, or contact users through NammaChat. If an account appears to belong to a minor, report it immediately so the team can review and act.

Keep conversations text-only

NammaChat does not support sharing photos, videos, images, or files inside chat. Do not try to bypass this by posting external links to private media, requesting explicit media, or pressuring users to move to another app for unsafe sharing.

Do not share sensitive details

Avoid sharing phone numbers, email addresses, WhatsApp numbers, Telegram usernames, OTPs, payment details, home addresses, work addresses, identity documents, private social IDs, or links to personal profiles with unknown users. A friendly conversation can still become risky if you reveal too much too quickly.

Recognise scams

Be careful with users who ask for money, claim an emergency, promote investments, offer jobs that require fees, ask for recharge payments, send suspicious links, or request OTPs. NammaChat conversations should not be used for phishing, gambling promotion, financial schemes, or dishonest behaviour.

Respect personal boundaries

If someone does not reply, says no, or asks to stop, respect that choice. Repeated messaging, insults, threats, sexual pressure, caste or religion abuse, regional hate, stalking, or bullying can lead to reports and account action.

Use block controls

If a user makes you uncomfortable, block them. Blocking helps you control your own experience quickly. For serious behaviour, also send a report so moderators can review whether other users may be at risk.

Report misuse clearly

Report harassment, impersonation, threats, spam, scams, adult-policy violations, child safety risk, or attempts to collect private details. Include the username, room name, approximate time, and a short explanation. Clear reports help the team investigate faster.

Admin moderation

Administrators may review account details, reports, support messages, sensitive-content signals, and relevant message context when investigating safety issues. Enforcement can include warnings, restrictions, suspension, account deletion, or referral to appropriate authorities where required.

Child safety standards

NammaChat has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse, exploitation, grooming, or sexualisation of minors. Read the full child safety standards before using the service.
