A state room is useful when a state or country does not need separate city rooms yet. Users can enter one common room and meet people from the wider region.

Regional rooms help users discover discussions connected to familiar places and languages. NammaChat rooms can be added and arranged from the admin panel, so the available list can grow with the community.
City rooms
City rooms focus conversations around specific places such as Chennai, Coimbatore, Madurai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Kochi, Mumbai, Delhi, or other configured locations.
Language rooms
Language preferences help users find communities that feel natural to them, including Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi, English, Assamese, Konkani, and others.
Preference sorting
After signup or guest login, users can choose language and state preferences. The region list can show the preferred state first, then same-language rooms, then other available communities.
Clear room labels
Room names and descriptions should make the community clear before a user joins. Useful labels reduce confusion and help users choose the right room without needing to open every group.
Joining a room
Public visitors can preview rooms, but joining requires login because membership, message delivery, member counts, reports, and block controls must be connected to an account.
Why regional context improves conversation
People often communicate more naturally when they share a place, language, or cultural reference. A Chennai room may include local travel, food, neighbourhood, or Tamil conversation. A Kerala room may include Malayalam topics, state updates, or general community discussion. A language room can help users who live outside their home state still find familiar conversation.
Keeping rooms useful
Users should stay close to the room topic, avoid repeated spam, and respect people from other regions. Regional pride is welcome, but insults based on caste, religion, language, gender, nationality, or location are not. Good rooms feel active without becoming noisy or unsafe.
Text-only regional chat
NammaChat regional rooms are built for text messages. They are not file-sharing groups, photo exchanges, video rooms, or adult media rooms. If someone asks users to leave the app to exchange private media or personal details, treat that as a safety risk and use block or report tools.
How admins can grow regions
A smaller community may begin with one state or language room. As activity grows, admins can add more specific rooms for cities or topics. This gradual approach avoids empty rooms and gives new users a better chance of finding an active conversation.
