Community rules
Respectful text chat keeps NammaChat useful for everyone
These guidelines apply to public region rooms, private chats, usernames, profile text, support messages, reports, and other activity on NammaChat.
Be respectful
Do not harass, threaten, bully, shame, stalk, or target users based on language, region, gender, religion, caste, nationality, disability, age, or personal background. Regional chat works only when people can talk without being attacked for where they come from or what language they speak.
Use honest identity information
Do not impersonate another person, pretend to represent NammaChat, create misleading accounts, or use profile text designed to deceive others. If you use a nickname, it should still follow the rules and should not be used to threaten, scam, or confuse people.
No scams or spam
Do not send phishing links, repeated promotions, money requests, fake investment schemes, gambling links, job-fee requests, recharge requests, or messages that trick people into sharing private information. NammaChat is a conversation service, not a place for dishonest promotion.
No unsafe off-platform pressure
Do not pressure users to move to another app, share phone numbers, send OTPs, share private media, or provide payment details. NammaChat is text-only and does not support sharing photos, videos, images, or files in chat. Attempts to bypass that design for unsafe behaviour may lead to enforcement.
Protect privacy
Do not post someone else’s private information, contact details, address, identity details, workplace, private conversations, or social handles without permission. Even if information was shared in a chat, it should not be reused to embarrass, threaten, or expose another person.
No sexual exploitation or compensated sexual activity
Do not use NammaChat to request, promote, arrange, or pressure users into sexual services, compensated dating, escort activity, explicit sexual content, or exploitation. Adult users must still respect consent, privacy, and platform rules.
Follow 18+ and child safety rules
NammaChat is for adults only. Child sexual abuse, exploitation, grooming, sexualisation of minors, pretending to be a minor, or encouraging minors to use the service is strictly prohibited and may be reported to appropriate authorities.
Report unsafe content
Use reports for abuse, exploitation, threats, fake accounts, scams, spam, privacy violations, or other unsafe activity. Include the username, room name, date, time, and a clear description when possible. Reports help protect more than one user.
Consequences for violations
NammaChat may remove content, restrict features, suspend accounts, delete accounts, preserve records, or take other appropriate action when rules are broken. Severe safety issues may be referred to legally authorised authorities where required or permitted by law.
